Abstract

Purpose: to assess application potential of functional food, enriched with polyphenols and proteins. Materials and methods. Analysis of domesic and foreign literature sources and results of in-house studies. Results and its discussion. The analysis of domestic and foreign literature data and the results of in-house studies is carried out, scientific rationale for the prospects for the practical use of functional food products containing polyphenolic antioxidant compounds and easily digestible proteins in marine medicine is presented. The use of these food products is recommended for the prevention of risk factors for the development of diseases and the action of negative factors of professional activity (including radiation), as well as for the rehabilitation of seafarers, including during a sea voyage.
