В представленной статье показаны исторические вехи и научные школы развития кафедры военно-морской хирургии Военно-медицинской академии им. С. М. Кирова за 85 лет. За это время кафедру возглавляли двенадцать начальников, и каждый из них определял ее учебную, научную и лечебную деятельность. Однако всегда во главу угла ее развития ставились прикладные вопросы, т. е. патогенез и лечение повреждений, характерных для Военно-Морского Флота РФ. Кафедра военно-морской хирургии ВМедА встретила свое 85-летие в расцвете сил и выполняет самые ответственные задачи, поставленные командованием академии и Вооруженными силами РФ.

The presented article shows historical milestones and scientific schools of development of the Department of Naval Surgery of the Military Medical Academy named after. S. M. Kirov for 85 years. During this time, the department was headed by twelve heads, and each of them determined its educational, scientific and medical activities. However, applied issues have always been at the forefront of its development, i.e., the pathogenesis and treatment of injuries characteristic of the Russian Navy. The Department of Naval Surgery of the Military Medical Academy celebrated its 85th anniversary in the prime of life and is performing the most important tasks set by the command of the Academy and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
