Физиологический механизм, лежащий в основе терапевтической эффективности транскраниальной магнитной стимуляции, заключается в формировании феномена долговременной потенциации или долговременной депрессии. В статье рассматриваются показания, противопоказания и рекомендуемые протоколы применения транскраниальной магнитной стимуляции при отдельных заболеваниях и последствиях травм нервной системы.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Transcranial magnetic stimulation is a non-invasive technique allowing to directly stimulate the neurons of the cerebral cortex. The physiological mechanism underlying the therapeutic efficacy of transcranial magnetic stimulation is the phenomenon of long-term potentiation or long-term depression.
